Gaza - Hamas, the Palestinian resistance movement, expressed its surprise over the circulation of fake news claiming that one of their leaders, Yahya Sinwar, had been assassinated.

In an official statement released on Thursday (October 17), Hamas confirmed that the information was baseless. They labeled the news as part of a systematic campaign aimed at creating chaos and confusion among the Palestinian public.

"After conducting a thorough review from various reliable sources and communicating with official authorities, Hamas confirms that all leaders and members of the movement are in good health. None of the leaders have suffered any harm, as rumored. Hamas believes that this spread of false news is part of the enemy's attempt to weaken the morale of the Palestinian people and divide their national unity,” stated the official Hamas release received by Minanews.
